Shared server SV2 Mail2 SV65 experiences outage since 9AM EST 25th November due to extremely slow IO on Raid Storage device. Upon investigation we find that one HDD on the Raid storage failed. We promptly replace the failed HDD and RAID starts rebuilding. More problem occurs when Raid controller reports drive timeout on new HDD and keeps restarting rebuilding process in the last 8 hours. We have emergency maintenance on SV8 because of hard disk failure. Entire /home partition suddenly becomes unreadable. We try to run disk check but there are too many errors that it is not possible to fix. The hard disk turns to read only mode shortly after restarting the server. As a result we have to transfer all websites to a different server. Transfer process takes longer time than...
